It is vital that you maintain the TX DSHS/HHSC requirements for the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern status including the completion and passing of the TX DSHS/HHSC Licensure Exam prior to the expiration of the LCDC Counselor Internship. Internship has four levels of Supervision: Level 1 = 0 to 1000 hours which will consist of continued supervision and observation of work with QCC on site, Level 2 = 1001 to 2000 hours which will consist of continued supervision and observation of work with more independent work performance with QCC on site, Level 3 = 2001 to 4000 hours which will consist of continued supervision and observation of work while mostly independent performance, but increased independence with QCC available by phone, Level Graduate = over 4000 hours/Passed License Exam will consist of ongoing supervision and observation of work, independent work performance with QCC available by phone. Documentation of work and supervision will be maintained by QCC and submitted to CTI Coordinator and HHSC Licensing Department.
